Wanda Group

The Wanda Group was founded in 1988 by Chairman Wang Jianlin and operates in the following major areas: luxury hotels, commercial property, entertainment and tourism, department stores and e-commerce. In 2014, the company’s assets totaled $85.6 billion and annual income reached $38.8 billion.

Hotel Development and Management

Wanda Hotels and Resorts Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of The Wanda Group, has opened 71 luxury hotels through December 2014. The Wanda Group is currently expanding its global development activities, undertaking high profile projects in some of the world’s most desirable locations, including Chicago, London, Madrid and Sydney. Each of these developments will feature a Wanda luxury hotel at its core.

Wanda Commercial Properties is a global leader in the field of commercial real estate. It currently has a portfolio of 109 Wanda Plazas across China, with a total leasable property space of 232 million square feet as of January 2015. The company aims to open a further 26 properties in 2015, and in turn become the world’s largest owner and operator of commercial real estate. Wanda Commercial Properties consists of a business planning and research institute, national commercial real estate construction team and a national business management company, all of which form a full industry chain giving it a competitive advantage in its industry.

The Wanda Culture Industry Group is China’s largest cultural enterprise, with registered capital totaling $800 million and annual revenue of $5.5 billion in 2014. The group operates in 10 arenas: cinemas, film production, film industry parks, performing arts, film technology entertainment, theme parks, franchise entertainment, print media, and art investment and travel.
